UGG Face

UGG Face is one of many Australian Ugg boot manufacturers and distributors. Despite offering high-quality sheepskin boots, the company faced challenges due to intense competition in the local market, leading to a decline in their website’s conversion rate over the years.

In May 2023, Skyfield Co became UGG Face’s marketing partner, aiming to implement a fresh and effective marketing strategy. Our primary objective was to drive website traffic through social media and Google Ads while boosting sales.

In-depth research revealed that UGG Face’s product range seemed limited and somewhat outdated compared to other UGG boot brands that catered to fashion-conscious consumers. Additionally, the current website design, based on a Shopify template, did not resonate with our target audience, making it difficult to establish credibility and consumer trust. To overcome these challenges, we decided to initiate a rebranding process.

Solution

Instead of focusing solely on fashionable products, we dove into the rich history of Ugg boots, which were originally designed to keep Australian westies’ feet warm during winters. Our target audience shifted towards those seeking durable and sturdy boots.

Through a comprehensive redesign, we revamped the website and social media accounts to cater specifically to the suburban working class. The new copywriting emphasised the exceptional quality of our 100% Australian-made sheepskin products. To stimulate sales, we launched innovative marketing campaigns like “buy one get one free” and “end-of-winter sale.”

Outcome

The results were highly satisfactory. Total sales skyrocketed, experiencing a remarkable 698% increase compared to the previous period. Our social media efforts paid off significantly, as we witnessed an impressive 210,000% surge in traffic from those platforms. Moreover, the return customer rate also surged by an encouraging 98%.

With these impressive outcomes, UGG Face has firmly established itself as a reputable brand, gaining the trust and loyalty of its target audience while successfully standing out in the competitive market.

The branding project involves helping Taoism Master Yan expand her impact, particularly among younger generations who seek information primarily on the internet. The main problem identified in the workshop is that the theories of Taoism are extremely complex, and there is a lack of information written in modern language.

The proposed solution is to develop a modern brand identity that is relevant to the target market and a website with a clear structure and simple language to explain what Taoism is and what Master Yan does. The goal is to make information about Taoism and Gaogong more accessible to a wider audience.

With a clear goal in mind, a new logo was designed using calligraphy to maintain the root of Taoism. Typefaces were also carefully selected to ensure they fit with the brand identity and were highly readable on both print and digital platforms.

The website was designed with a clear structure, with three main sections: What Taoism is, What Taoism does, and What Master Yan can do for you. This was done to provide visitors with a simple and easy-to-understand overview of the brand, the philosophy of Taoism, and the services provided by Master Yan.

Lotus Dining Group approached Skyfield Co with a clear determination to make a bold impact in the cut-throat restaurant industry. With an impressive ten restaurants under their belt, their first order of business was to revamp their website design to match their grand vision and improve online user experience. However, the challenge was daunting – how to enable all visitors to find what they were looking for in just three clicks.

Solution

With Skyfield Co’s expertise, they identified two distinct methods people use to search for information – logical and wordy methods and emotional and visualised methods. The first section of the home page catered to both types of visitors, allowing them to easily reserve a table or order takeout from any of the ten restaurants. Visitors could delve deeper into each restaurant by scrolling down or using the direct restaurant button on the main menu. A side menu was designed for customers to take action quickly considering the amount of content this website holds.

As one of the sub-brand, Lotus dumpling Bar have now grown to be one of the most valuable fast food brand, to distinguish it from the rest of the restaurants we designed the page with a slightly quirky twist to attract young customers yet remains unity to Lotus Group visually.

The owner of Tea Spot initially reached out to Skyfield Co because she was unhappy with her previous website designer. During our first contact listening to her concerns, we’ve learned about her high standards for this business but was unable to achieve so there’s a good reason for Skyfield Co to join the game to bring out some branding and marketing mindset.

We started with understanding the needs of Tea Spot’s audience, and the challenges around franchising her business, to explain what Tea Spot could provide as clear as possible one important principle is to have a clear brand message that sets them apart from others, along with a compelling visual identity.

To create a unique brand message and visual identity, Skyfield Co spent a good amount of time in the store, analyzing the business and its customers. They created a set of appealing brand messages that would influence marketing and address the issue of waiting times. As most of the tea served at Tea Spot is freshly made, customers often have to wait for their orders. The brand message emphasized that the wait was worth it, and this helped to address the issue of customer complaints about the wait time.

Outcome

A new website was built, and the new brand message was released on the website. The owner reported that complaints about waiting times had reduced significantly. Some customers even told her that they loved the new website design and feel. Skyfield Co also helped the owner to share the brand message on social media, increasing engagement and impressions.

Sunshine Gardens was an exclusive resort chain in natural suburbs yet conveniently located to all major amenities in both Brisbane and NSW.

Sunshine Gardens embarked on the fourth resort at the tableland, Atherton, where 80 kilometres to the southwest of Cairns.

The team were expected to get the project brand done in a short period. Teamwork started with researching the local area to craft the project personalities before the brand identity was crafted, and the owner’s unique business vision moved the team to do the job beyond the expectation who agreed that it will be more beneficial and practical for more Australian domestic travellers than other resort offers. It needs the better brand awareness and strong brand consistency across current and future resorts which is super critical to the business growth to the next level.

Solution for Sunshine Gardens

Three existing resorts are two Queensland’s resorts, Cairns one and the lakes, and one NSW’s resort, the Bourke Resort, which were rebranded under one brand umbrella, Sunshine Gardens. The branded house principle works perfected for a family-owned business which could save tremendous effort to market one brand rather than three brand.

More importantly, the new project, Atherton resort, has hotel rooms and 76 homes. The 76 homes need to be sold as off-plan houses and land packages to investors from all over Australia. The new way ensures Atherton projects to borrow massive power from three existing resorts, which demonstrates the business history and gains the vast trust of investors for future security.

Solution

It is not a good idea to nail down a company’s niche too quickly without self-realisation and market penetration. The solution was to keep three divisions – development, home building, and investment – for another two years while proactively reaching the market and closely monitoring their products and market reorganisation.

In August of 2022, Amberstone Group realised they were skilled at building customised boutique homes for high-end market home occupiers. They also realised that the current website structure no longer served their refined vision. Skyfield Co. team again refined the website structure and message according to the company’s growth.

The new website will be released very soon, beginning in 2023.
